Will the color of steel grating change after galvanizing treatment?

The color of the steel grating after galvanizing is usually silvery white. Because zinc is silvery white, of course some will be painted and turned blue, etc. The purpose of galvanizing is to make the surface of the steel grating smooth and prevent rust. Some steel gratings rust after galvanizing. This depends on the raw materials selected. If it is iron, it may be the principle of absorbing anodes in anti-corrosion to protect cathodes.

Some steel gratings need to be passivated after galvanizing in order to improve the anti-corrosion ability after galvanizing. The color of the steel grating that has just been galvanized is yellow or light yellow, and then after a film removal process (acid-base neutralization), it will become silver white (the color of zinc), and then it is the passivation process after the film removal.

After the passivation process, it is possible to produce different colors such as blue-white, multicolor, black and even yellow (detailed colors are made according to customer requirements). The degree of authenticity of galvanized steel grating is mainly determined by the film thickness of galvanizing. Generally, the film thickness of hot-dip galvanized steel grating is required to reach more than 70чm, and the general cold-galvanized steel grating can reach 10чm is good enough.

The quality of galvanizing directly affects the quotation of steel grating. Basically, the thicker the thickness of the galvanized layer, the higher the price will be, but in fact, it is not much higher, and the manufacturer will also calculate its own cost.
